edit: Put another way: I am trying to save a null value in a field while using MERGE method. Is this possible? If not, is there a way to use PUT when the table has an identity column and I get errors about trying to update the identity column?
I have a table with an identity column and some nullable foreign keys.
I want to update a record with a null value for one of the foreign keys.
Using Merge, the column just doesn't get sent to the server, and the change doesn't apply.
I've tried using PUT, but can't seem to get past the fact that there is an identity column. (I've tried "delete"ing that column on my JS object, but didn't have any effect.)
Can you either tell me how to force the null column to be included in a merge write, or tell me how to have PUT not try to update my identity column?
I'm running this through a POST batch command.
